Overview

What is Voicemeeter?

Voicemeeter is a Windows virtual mixer. Hardware and software sources appear as strips, mix on buses, and leave through virtual devices so Discord, Skype, OBS, games and DAWs share one path.

The driver stack speaks WDM, KS, MME, DirectX, WaveRT and ASIO. Clock follows main output A1, up to 192 kHz when the edition and device allow it.

Hardware inputs and buses
Physical strips plus mixbuses — A toward hardware outs, B toward virtual outs. Potato adds multilayer routing for denser desks.
Intellipan, EQ and dynamics
Color Panel EQ, 3D binaural pan, Audibility, plus graphic EQ on virtual inputs. Banana and Potato add compressor, gate, limiter and further FX.
VBAN and ASIO

Desk logs from the field

Paraphrased from public reviews and streaming-desk tutorials. Hover the tape to pause.

“Banana is the piece I did not know I needed. Once the buses clicked, Discord and OBS finally stopped fighting. I still wish the first-hour learning curve were gentler.”
Streamer · Banana
“Separate game, Discord and music into OBS tracks without buying hardware. Buffer tweaks fixed my crackling after I stopped forcing WDM on every strip.”
Twitch desk · Banana
“Works. Antivirus yelled once on install. Allowed it, rebooted, meters lit up.”
Windows 11 user
“Potato’s FX and VBAN cover our dual-PC stream. Macro Buttons as a cart machine is oddly perfect for live bits.”
Producer · Potato
“Intellipan and Audibility cleaned a cheap USB mic for Zoom better than another round of Windows enhancements.”
