Compatibility
Voicemeeter installs kernel-mode virtual audio drivers. Confirm your Windows edition and CPU class before you deploy on a live stream desk.
Deployment
Follow these steps in order. Skipping the reboot is the most common reason virtual devices fail to appear in Windows Sound settings.
Download and extract
Save the ZIP for your edition. Right-click the archive and choose Extract All. Do not run setup from inside the compressed folder.
Verify checksum (when listed)
For Banana 2.1.2.2, compare the file hash against the SHA256 value on this page before you run the installer. See the integrity section below for PowerShell and certutil commands.
Run setup as administrator
Right-click VoicemeeterSetup.exe and select Run as administrator. Accept the driver install prompts. Close other audio apps during setup.
Reboot Windows
Restart the PC after install completes. Repeat a reboot after uninstall as well so stale virtual endpoints are cleared from the audio stack.
Assign A1 and route apps
Open Voicemeeter, set hardware out A1 to your main interface, point Windows apps at Voicemeeter Input (VAIO) for playback, and set your mic strip input. Change one setting at a time. See the setup guides for routing walkthroughs.

Verification
A SHA256 hash is a fixed-length fingerprint of the ZIP file. If one byte changes during download or storage, the hash no longer matches. Compare the value on this page to the file on disk before you run setup.

Voicemeeter installs virtual audio drivers at kernel level. Some security products flag new or uncommon audio drivers as suspicious even when the package is unchanged. This is a known false-positive pattern with low-level audio software, not proof of malware.
